Andrew's Submission:

My name is Andrew Borton and I will be competing in the novice as a junior and in a seperate weight class. My story is like many I was out of shape at an early and crucial age. All I ever did was eat and it was a vicious cycle, I was at my highest point in highschool weighing over 300lbs (I stopped caring after weighing 285 in middle school). There was nothing in my life that I could complain about, I just ate a lot. I had finally decided to do something about it and started working out, not knowing what I was doing I would go to the school gym every lunch period forgoing my chance to talk to people and make friends. I had also joined the football team and in some cases signed up for 2 gym classes. It was a slow process since I didnt have the diet part down but it got better. I was fortunate enough to end up at highschool graduation in 2008 weighing aprox 230lbs and felt great. This was not the end however. Over the last few years I continued to workout, dieted properly, and got into using supplements. I achieved a weight of about 205lbs by myself. This is when I discovered bodybuilding is the next step. I decided to enlist with a trainer (Craig Bonnett) and with his help I got to my lowest point ever of 181lbs (attached pictured). I continue to work with him and am currently dieting for the novice and consider myself to be in the best shape of my life it has become and outright passion for me to workout to the point that even in these freezing winters I still do my mile and a half walk to and from the gym. To me there is no excuse If I have to train at 5am or walk in -40 weather... or in some cases both I just enjoy the lifestyle that much. I would like to however let my pictures do the talking, attached are 2 pictures. 1 of them being me at one of my highest points, the other when I did my first diet with craig,. I thank you for considering this application and will continue to work hard regardless of the outcome.
